EMC Standard Testing

A broad portfolio of emission and immunity test options to comply with EU Directives and Regulations.

EMC Directive 2024/30/EU

Tests according to harmonised standards referenced by the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU.

Emissions tests

  • Conducted RF emissions (55016-2-1, 55011, 55032)
  • Radiated RF emissions (55016-2-1, 55011, 55032)
  • Harmonics (61000-3-2)
  • Flicker (61000-3-3)

Immunity tests

  • ESD, Electrostatic Discharge (61000-4-2)
  • Radiated RF Field Immunity (61000-4-3)
  • Burst, Fast Electric Transients (61000-4-4)
  • Surge (61000-4-5)
  • Conducted RF Immunity (61000-4-6)
  • Immunity to Magnetic Field 50 Hz (61000-4-8)
  • Voltage Dips (61000-4-11)

Generic and product standards covered

  • Full capacity to evaluate requirements according to generic standards for both residential and industrial environments [61000-6-series].
  • Experience with product standards like: EN 50121-3-2 (Rolling stock – Apparatus), Laboratory equipment (EN IEC 61326-1:2021), EN IEC 60601-1-2 (Medical equipment), and many other.

Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU (RED)

Tests methods suitable for equipment that integrates IoT radio modules, following the corresponding IEC and ETSI standards, and the RED Directive guide.

Equipment integrating pre-certified modules

We check wherter your equipment is compliant with the harmonised standards of RED and EMC, including the EN 301 489 series, when your device includes a radio module with technologies like Bluetooth, WiFi or RFID.

Also, we can meeasure the transmitter spurious emissions and radiated power according to many standards like EN 300 220, EN 300 330, EN 300 328.

Equipment integrating non-certified modules

We are able to run complete tests of radio equipment operating in ISM bands like 13.56 MHz, 433 MHz, 868 MHz and others.

Automotive

We are able to carry out specific EMC emissions and immunity testing for automotive components following international standards and regulations like CISPR 25, ISO 11452 or UN/ECE Regulation 10

UN/ECE Regulation 10

We perform out pre-certification tests according to the EMC regulation for Harmonized Technical United Nations Regulations for equipment which can be used on wheeled vehicles including systems for charging the electric vehicle to the power grid.

Also, we help you to determine if your equipment falls within the regulation according to the European Commission. Providing you the possibility to test radiated emissions, conducted emissions according to the standard EN 50498 for aftermarket electronic equipment in vehicles.

OEM standards

Furthermore, we perform immunity and emissions pre-evaluation tests according to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) standards.

NewSpace

EMC requirements are part of any space mission. The space sector has its own EMC testing standards, and any mission has specific EMC requirements, mostly focused on intra-system problems. The high level of integration of different electronic systems on board satellites, space probes, etc., causes a high likelihood of electromagnetic noise coupling from emissions sources (i.e. power supplies, reaction wheels, high-speed circuits) to the victims (i.e. scientific experiments on board, sensors, ground-space communications).

Space missions must find and fix all possible EMC problems “on earth” while meeting tight schedules. The risk of EMI related failures should be mitigated, and doing so requires the proper tools during the whole space mission lifecycle. This means EMC is an aspect to be considered from the definition of specifications, design and integration and test.

We are able to carry out specific EMC emissions and immunity testing for space application following EMC standards like ECSS-E-ST-20-07C or MIL- STD-461G.
